Collagenesis By Skinn Review

It’s no secret, every woman needs a good set of skin products to use on the face and body.  It takes me a long time to find a whittle down the types of products I can and can’t use.  This is because, like many I have very sensitive skin – I sometimes feel that with age this can more of a prominent problem.  Over the past month I have been trialling a brand called Collagenesis by Skinn.  The exclusive premium range of skin care was spearheaded by renowned make-up artist and licensed aesthetician, Dimitri James.  My first impressions, the packaging is really classy, pearly pink and white shiny bottles and silver lids!  Like with any product, its what’s inside the container that matters and so lets get straight to it.

I used three products in total.  Firstly, Collagenesis Twenty-Four Hour Youth Preservation Cream Elite (phew).

Long name but such an amazing cream, non-greasy long lasting an doesn’t leave a funny lingering smell afterwards.  This really left my skin feeling soft and supple.  I found that using make-up on my skin around 20 minutes after worked a treat and it got rid of dry patches around my nose and forehead.  The downside, the jar is quite deceptive.  It looks big but once it’s open there is a small inner plastic container holding the cream, and not much of it.  However, like most premium brand products this is the case.

Next I tried the Collagenesis Stem Rejen Elite anti-delay Facial serum.  I applied this mostly in the evening, after taking off my make-up.  A little bit of this product goes a long way so you only need a tiny amount.

The serum sinks into the skin but for me, not as well as the mosituriser did.  Having said that, I am impressed with how long lasting this serum is (I did use the serum in conjunction with he moisturiser).  Also, this is not the gel type serum, it actually comes out looking like pink cream.  Again, a very subtle non-offensive smell which I of course like.

Last but not least, I tried out the Collagenesis Youth Supporting Eye Serum.  Now  this one was great but I have to say I’m generally not a huge fan of eye serums.  Oddly enough this also comes in a creamy texture which I love.  A stronger smell but it works in harmony with the rest of the products.  Again, you only need a tiny amount on your fingertip, I massaged it in a circular motion under and around the eye.  IMG_2671

So the conclusion, what a wonderful range of skincare products.  I’m very fussy with what I use on my skin but the Collagenesis range will be one for future investment.  The products are available to buy from the home of shopping TV, Ideal World, on Sky 654, Freeview 22, Virgin 747, Freesat 812 and at  www.idealworld.tv.
