Afternoon tea fit for a princess!

This June, to tie in with the major movie release of ‘Grace of Monaco’ The Royal Horseguards Hotel, one of London’s leading five star hotels, will introduce a limited edition ‘Grace of Monaco’ afternoon tea.

Set in 1962, six years after her celebrated wedding, ‘Grace of Monaco’ depicts an intimate snapshot of a year in the life iconic Princess – Grace Kelly – as she strived to reconcile her past and her present, a yearning for a return to the big screen with her newfound role as a mother of two, monarch of a European principality and wife to Prince Ranier III.

Traditional afternoon tea in The Lounge will be transformed into a glamorous affair fit for a princess with themed Grace of Monaco delicacies. In-house mixologists have especially designed a signature cocktail, “My Nerves Could Use A Drink’, made from rose petal infusion, rose crystals and Laurent-Perrier Rosé Champagne, based on the princess’ fondness of the flower.

Delicious handmade desserts including a Coral Chocolate Lipstick based on the make up designed for Princess Grace by Estee Lauder and a “Black & White Shot” inspired by Grace’s favourite chocolate milkshake have been especially created by resident chef and chocolatier Joanne Todd. Themed savoury bites such as Princess Grace’s Favourite Mini

American Hamburgers will sit alongside a traditional selection of elegant finger sandwiches. The quintessentially British The Royal Horseguards Hotel is located a stone’s throw away from some of London’s most popular visitor attractions, including the Houses of Parliament , the London Eye and Trafalgar Square, making it the perfect location to stay during the Great British Summer.

The Royal Horseguards ‘Grace of Monaco’ Afternoon Tea will run from 2nd – 15th June and will cost £45.00 including the specially created cocktail. Room rates at The Royal Horseguards Hotel start at £190 excluding VAT.
