AW15 | Danielle Romeril

What's London Fashion Week all about really? Inspiring new looks, pushing boundaries, and persuading us to part with our hard earned cash.

Danielle Romeril's presentation on day two of LFW certainly pushed boundaries, but as for money, well, she challenged us in a whole new way.

"Survive" stands boldly emblazoned across the brown invitation, creating illusions of a distant post-apocalyptic world. A makeshift wooden shelter erected prominently in the space with sawdust covering the floor.

This is not the world we live in. This is a world in which, to be chic you will have to get your hands dirty. A dystopian future where you canít buy anything, only create.

The scavengerís wardrobe, the asymmetric pieces are made using the ancient Japanese technique of odoshi, used to create protective leather armour for Samurai.

The resulting style is a raw, yet distinguishably feminine look, for warrior-like women, ready to take on the world. And donít these clog-clad ladies look fierce?

I love their statement white eyeshadow which gives an eye-widening effect, leaving them appearing sharp and ready for battle.
