AW15 | Rejina Pyo

Away from the scrummage of Somerset House, the more unassuming location of Mary Ward House played host to Rejina Pyo’s A/W15 presentation on day two of London Fashion Week.

A dainty invitation, with ‘hope to see you there’ politely scrawled across a rocky landscape gave little away, leaving me all the more excited to know what was in store.

The presentation took place in a dark, yet elegant wood-clad room with large rocks standing to attention scattered throughout the space.

Often, fashion seems to fluctuate between two extremes. The Spring/Summer season sees an array of laidback, cool, colour and feminine shapes, while the colder weather brings in it's young and rebellious, edgy sister in the form of Autumn/Winter.

Rejina has managed to find a beautiful middle ground, for a classically feminine yet somewhat daring look proving that it is possible to push boundaries and still look sophisticated

This is not a collection that shouts. It doesn’t need to. Instead it makes a quiet assertion: “I am here and I am fabulous.”

Some favourite looks include the check dress with sheer back and two piece with splashes of chrome breaking up the moody navy hues.

After much ooh-ing and ahh-ing in sheer delight from me, the show ended with a serious dosing of cool-girl vibes as the models draped themselves over the rocks with that fabulous air of 'I don't care what you think' and left me with one thought: I want to be one of Rejina's girls.
