Fields Apart…Orla Kiely

A skip and hop from Carnaby Street was the Orla Kiely S/S15 show and it was the perfect way to kick of day 2 of LFW. Orla Kiely otherwise known as the ‘Queen of Prints’ S/S15 collection was her signature print style in effortless summer breeze. Orla has a real talent of taking you into a whimsical wonderland, somewhere between your nostalgic 70’s childhood birthday colour palette and wonder woman years- it just packs the ‘feel good’ factor. The collection was inspired by the film ‘Le Bonheur’ by Agnes Varda and ‘Daisies’ by Vera Chytilova and translated into a visual feast of flower prints, worn with a relaxed care-free confidence that transcended onto its mesmerised audience. The collection can be worn by a varying age group of women as I don’t know any woman who doesn't yearn for a less complicated wardrobe especially around Summer time. There were lots of pieces that can be paired up or down making them staple ‘go to’ items. Here are a few floral gems.
