Lipsticks for the summer: Kiko

P1010020

It must have been a few weeks back when I leisurely strolled around shopping and noticed a uncompspicuous shop which oddly enough, I had never seen or hear of before. If there is one thing I like, it’s to try out new beauty brands and so this one was clearly on my hit list.

With the weather changing and Brits finally seeing a bit of sun, I trialled out some bright shades with a pop of colour. One thing I noticed about Kiko as a brand was the price. These lipsticks cost around £3 Tto £13 and the day I went in there happened to be a buy two get the third free offer on with everything in the store. I jumped to the chance and was pleasantly surprised with my purchases.

The range and choice of colours is extensive. The lipstick does not dry your lips out like some cheap brands can do.  They also offer some skin care products – I’m careful with what I put on my skin and so tried the facemasks.  Not really too impressed with them to be honest, the makeup from Kiko is much better.  I am in love with shade 911, its such a beautiful coral colour and looks so good on.  Also 807 was a bit different to what I would normally buy (it leaves a glitter sheen on the lips).

These aren’t the type of lipsticks that stay on all day, they do need to be re-applied, but having said that – they are perfect for the ones you just throw in your handbag for lippy TLC.

If you do get a chance to pop into this shop, you wont be disappointed.  I found that for the lippy that you just need in your handbag, these fit the bill.  Find out more from Kiko here.
