Love is in the air

It's only January, but as you may have already figured, Valentine's Day is around the corner.  If your anything like me, scrambling to make a restaurant booking will be on the cards soon.  Manchester is brimming with excellent restaurants to choose from, all you have to decide on is what type of food tickles your taste buds.  From hearty italian dishes to sizzling indian cuisine, here is the NO NONSENSE guide to the top 5 restaurants to wine and dine with your loved one this Valentines.
Bon appetit….!

1.  San Carlos

Famous for being famous and having authentic italian food – you would have guessed this would have been in my top 5.  All I would say is to book early and get a decent table. It has a great atmosphere and the food is amazing.

2. The French

I absolutely loved this place.  Here's the review from earlier on in the year.  Great British food at its best.

3.  Damson Restaurant Media City

This is my chosen retreat for Valentine's day.  The menu looks lovely and what's more, these guys pull out all the stops to make sure you enjoy your meal.  Not only will they order in dietary meat, but they will tinker with the menu so that it fits around you – look out for the review.

4.  Istanbul Grill

This resturant is based in Pretwich and is a real gem.  They serve authentic Turkish food and it's a firm favourite of mine.  We have enjoyed our meal every single time and never been disappointed…not to mention brilliant staff!

5. East z East

It wouldn't be complete without a good Indian.  If you are looking for a good traditional Indian restaurant then try East z East.  It's got a relaxed but busy atmosphere and they can do a decent curry.
