Spotlight: Justine Jenkins

Justine has 15 years experience of beautifying the best of British and international celebrities. She is also a cruelty-free cosmetic pioneer and ambassador for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Having worked in the City for 8 years as a dealer on the stockmarket, Justine retrained to become a make up artist.

Initially working at MTV with presenters and bands coming in for live performances, she went on to specialise in Film Special Effects and worked on feature films such as Cold Mountain.

Missing the beauty element of the industry, after a few years in film she decided to work more with celebrities and editorial.

Her clients now include Fearne Cotton, Laura Whitmore, Charlotte Rampling, Kelly Hoppen and has worked on fashion shoots from Harpers Bazaar to Luxx magazine.

A strict vegetarian, who has been on her fair share of vivisection marches, Justine refuses to use any products that have been tested on animals.

As an industry leader, Justine is on a constant battle to raise awareness of what’s really happening when brand websites state they don’t test on animals.

In order to ensure that they are buying cruelty-free cosmetics, consumers should look for the PETA-certified bunny logo.

That way they can be confident that they are supporting only companies that don’t test any products on animals anywhere in the world for any market.
